Introducing Deck 1.0 — The Sketch to PowerPoint converter

In short

Jinson Johny introduces Deck 1.0, a Sketch plugin that converts selected artboards into an editable PPTX file that opens in Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote and Google Slides. It grew out of an online Sketch-to-PPT MVP he built two years earlier, rebuilt as a plugin for better performance and a better experience.

Key takeaways

  1. From MVP to plugin. Deck replaces his earlier online Sketch-to-PPT converter with a Sketch plugin.
  2. One artboard, one slide. Each selected artboard becomes a slide, ordered bottom to top in the layers panel, and all artboards must be the same size.
  3. Deleted after download. Converted files are removed from the server once downloaded, and no configuration is stored.
  4. Figma and XD next. The roadmap expands Deck to Figma and XD, with a waiting list for interested users.
